The Princess and the Pea

Addison is a sweet adorable little bundle of joy that was give to me and PJ. She is a child who knows what she wants and conversely what she does NOT want. Ever since she was just a little 4 month old we have had a little bit of trouble introducing different 'solid' foods into her diet. Not that it has really been a trial, but she just doesn't take well to many of the foods we have tried. Just like the Princess in the 'Princess and the Pea' she is very bothered and vexed by a simple, little, harmless, legume. It makes her uncomfortable and unhappy. That tiny mashed up green spherically shaped seed is quite an unexplained obstacle to our sweet little princess. I mean how many people do you know that don't like peas? Don't answer that, I just know I don't know anyone besides my angel. Just look at the pea...it's cute! An itty bitty little green ball full of sweet goodness! There are thousands, that's right thousands, of children whose nick name is Sweet 'PEA'. So seriously...she doesn't like peas? So I asked the Pediatrician what we could do to get her to try, and like new foods. Do you know what he told me? He said 'You probably just have a picky eater on your hands.' There go all my plans of healthy eating being an easy and loved thing. *Poof* You know the kids that don't feed their broccoli to the family pet, but instead ask for more! That's the vision I had in mind, right...Don't worry I am still going to do my very best to get her to eat delicious, and healthy foods. It is just going to be more difficult. Especially when she's 5 and doesn't eat her vegetables, and I make her eat them for breakfast in the morning...cold. Anyways, to document her loathing of the evil round green monster, I took a video of her eating them. Without further adieu. Proof that I have a picky eater on my hands.

Ok, so there is proof, but I got sick of trying to upload the video. I'll try later when I have a little more patience.

  1. Don't worry my kids didn't like some things at first then ate them better later. Mine are super picky now even though they would eat almost anything as babies, so I guess we just have to try harder.
