I know who I am!

So the theme for my relief society this year has been 'Who We Are'. With the goal in mind that by the end of the year each sister will know that they are a child of God, and with that divine nature have unlimited potential, and ultimately be personally converted to the Lord.

The first quarters theme was 'I am a friend, a good neighbor. I am caring, compassionate, and loving.' The RS presidency had the idea that the year would be organized into quarters with each one focusing on strengthening a specific area. For example the first quarter was focused on visiting teaching, the second is focused on strengthening the family...etc. With the first quarters theme we had monthly goals. January's goal was to pray for those we visit teach or someone close to us. February's goal was to visit with those we visit teach or someone close to us. And finally March's goal was to share a spiritual message with those we visit teach or someone close to us. Of course there was more detail to the goals and the sister in the presidency whose turn it was to teach that month gave a lesson expounding the idea and gave instruction on how to accomplish that months goal.

So far I've given one lesson...my first lesson....EVER...I was terrified! I know it is silly, but I was. It went well enough...I ended up skiping, in my nervousness, over half of my material. Thankfully the sisters in the relief society were amazing and had plenty of input to make up for my lack of experience. Have I mentioned that I love my ward?

Long story short, I have these posters that I created for display as a reminder of the theme, and thought I would put them out there. I'm am by no means a graphic designer, and I know my style is lacking but I thought maybe they could do some good. They are good messages...mantras essentially. And yes I happen to think they are pretty cute...Oh and I just made the second quarter poster, the theme is 'I belong to an eternal family. I am a mother, a  grandmother, a daughter, a wife, a sister, an aunt. I can strengthen my family. I know where I came from. I understand families can be together through the sacred ordinances of temple work.'

PS: I can't upload pictures of my adorable girls right now....:( otherwise I would show you the adorable pictures I took of our visit with Nate and T and their kiddos...
